Children will have heard and seen news reports from London, Birmingham and Manchester which may include armed police and, on occasion, soldiers. For children unused to this, they may be worried by it.

The PREVENT duty is the duty in the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 on specifies authorities, in the exercise of their functions, to have due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.
