Uniform Change

Always Active

At Granby, we are always striving to create the best environment for our children to learn. As part of this, we use our school council and pupil voice to help us to shape changes and adaptations.                            

Our School Council asked our Granby Learners how the school uniform could be improved. These were the questions that they asked and the results of the children’s feedback.

Then we asked parents/carers about their views on updating our current school uniform, to an ‘Always Active’ school uniform. The results are in and 79% of parents/carers said they would like it to change.

This means, that from September 2026, we are asking children to come into school, everyday, in the uniform below.

Our school colours will remain the same/similar but will be much more comfortable to work in and will naturally support activity in school such as breaks/PE, meaning no separate PE kit or having to change for PE.  The uniform will also support our Neurodiverse children who often find formal uniform difficult to wear.

School Uniform from September 2026

• A white or light blue polo shirt (plain or with the Granby logo).  These can be long or shirt sleeved.
• Black jogging bottoms, shorts/skorts or leggings (plain, no logos)
• Black or white socks (plain, no logos)
• A pair of black trainers (plain with minimal or no logos)

• A Granby fleece may also be worn, but this is not a requirement

Parents/Carers

If your child still fits into their current uniform, or you have already purchased uniform for September, you do not need to re-purchase just yet. Please continue to wear it until it no longer fits, then purchase the updated uniform.

General Equipment

Children will not need to bring anything to school such as pencil cases or writing implements as these will be provided. Book bags can be purchased, although any plastic wallet can be used to transport books between home and school.
